Laughably bad! Hamburgers are thinner than McDonald's and completely tasteless and grey. The hot dog was also grey and looked like it had been boiled all day, served with a stale bun. Onion rings and fries were ok but completely unsalted probably suits their geriatric clientele but most people want seasoning on their food. Last but not least for this incredible meal we only had to wait near 30 min to get. When we first moved to Englewood about 10 years ago this place was our hidden gem. Service has always been slow but for a small little joint we didn't care cuz the food was good. Now it's a shell of itself. Don't know what happened behind the scenes but clearly the ownership and employees don't care want they serve now.

We need more places like this in town. This restaurant is a true piece of Vandaliaβs history, and it still delivers in the best way. Ashley and Peyton run a fantastic teamβfriendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The food was absolutely amazing, and the ice cream hit the mark perfectly. Whether youβre coming with friends or family, this is a great spot for any occasion. Highly recommend

Milkshakes are on point, so good. Food is okay, has the nostalgia of an old burger joint from the 60s, but price.... oh boy, a simple burger and a small shake (no fries etc) for a family of 4 is easily approaching 50 bux. Fun outting very occasionally once in a blue moon.

In our effort to systematically knock out the entire list of establishments on the Ohio Ice Cream Trail, this was next (or more accurately, it was the most convenient place on the list we had yet to visit). And it turned out to be a terrific little spot in Vandalia. It's funny because it has been around since 1964, meaning that it's almost as old as we are. We grew up in the general area and we had never heard of it, let alone tried it. The simple decor featured a decent number of seats. It was set up to order from the counter. The gentleman serving us was friendly and quite pleasant. The ice cream flavors were limited, but that was fine for our granddaughter, who had a vanilla-chocolate twist in a cup with a cone "hat". My wife and I split a Banana Pudding Cyclone, which was like a Flurry. It was terrifically flavorful. We were pretty happy with our experience. It reminded us of the type of place we would have gone as kids. With tasty treats and good service, it is a place worthy of a return visit.

We were there this past Saturday. Looked like there were plenty of employees, around 5 people. They were busy but the girl who was supposed to be taking orders must have thought it was more important to take time to vacuum the rug in front of us instead of taking our order. She finally took our order then slowly made our items, possibly without washing her hands after vacuuming. It was strange. The shakes were good but my son's Cyclone he ate had too much Snickers and not enough ice cream.
